Weekly Prayer: A Prayer from John 19:24

Lord Jesus,

At the foot of the cross, Scripture tells us that they divided Your garments and cast lots for what You wore. While You were giving everything, others were deciding what they might gain.

Search my heart, Lord. Make me slow to seek my own gain at Your expense. Give me eyes that truly see You, and a heart that knows Your worth—not just in words, but in devotion and obedience. Let me never treat what is holy as common, or what is sacred as disposable.

May I stand in awe at the cross, choosing reverence over convenience, surrender over self-interest, and love over entitlement.

Amen.
