Back to School: Called by a New Name
The start of a new school year often brings labels: grade levels, schedules, teams, and even the quiet weight of comparison. Some labels excite us while others press down heavy. But here’s the good news. God is not in the business of labels. He is in the business of new names.
Throughout Scripture, whenever God called someone into a new season, He renamed them. Abram became Abraham. Sarai became Sarah. Jacob became Israel. Simon became Peter. Each new name carried a fresh identity, a new calling, and a God-given purpose.
As we step into back-to-school rhythms, this is more than a calendar shift. It is an opportunity to pause and ask: What name is God speaking over me in this season? Because the names the world gives will never carry the weight of His truth. He says, You are Mine. I have called you by name. And when He speaks, His words are faithful and true.

Why Doesn’t God End All Evil and Suffering Now?
In exploring the tough question of why God doesn't immediately end evil and suffering, we find four key truths. God’s promise to end suffering is certain, but His patience reflects His love and desire for all to come to repentance. By understanding, we can find hope and encouragement in our faith journey.

WHAT IT MEANS TO WALK AS RUTH IN A BUSY WORLD
In a world that celebrated hustle, Ruth walked with quiet faithfulness. She didn’t rush, perform, or demand answers. She simply followed God, one obedient step at a time. As life speeds up, let’s choose to slow down and walk as Ruth did: present, surrendered, and full of trust that the ordinary moments matter to God.

The Victory of the Resurrection
Easter has always been an emotional time for me—deeply reflective, stirring, and full of awe. But since becoming a mother, the significance of this season has taken on an entirely new weight.
Every time I try to imagine what it would mean to give the life of one of my children for the betterment of others, my heart fails me. I crumble at the very thought. I simply can’t fathom it. The idea feels so unnatural, so impossible, that I can’t even begin to place myself in that space. Equally unfathomable is the thought of giving my own life at the directive of one of my parents. Everything in me resists the idea.
And yet—this is the crux of the Easter story. These two acts—God the Father giving His only Son, and Jesus the Son willingly laying down His life—are not just religious history. They are divine realities that speak volumes about the relationship between the Father and the Son. A relationship marked by trust that surpasses all understanding. A bond anchored in complete and total commitment to a redemptive plan, no matter the cost.

Stepping into Spring: A Season of Renewal and Favor
Spring—a time of new beginnings and fresh hope—is one of my favorite seasons. As the days grow longer, vibrant green shoots emerge from the dark earth, and the scent of rain fills the air, proclaiming God’s goodness. Budding flowers remind us that beauty is about to bloom once again.

Cling to God. Love Others.
The month of February celebrates romantic love, but it’s also a chance to reflect on the greatest love of all—God’s love. Not only His love for us, but our love for Him and for others. This is talked about by Jesus in Mark 12 and exemplified by Ruth in the Biblical book by her name.
