Weekly Prayer: Prayer from Psalm 24:3-10

Lord,

Who may ascend Your holy hill? Who may stand in Your presence? 

May I be that person. One with clean hands and a pure heart. One who does not chase after empty things or gives my heart to anything that takes Your place. May my words be truthful and my heart undivided.

Your Word promises that the one who seeks You will receive blessing from You and righteousness from the God of their salvation. I pray that, like Jacob, I would be part of the generation that seeks Your face. 

Like the gates of Jerusalem, may my heart be a place for the King of Glory to enter in! For You are the Lord, strong and mighty! Might in battle, You are the Lord of hosts, and You are my King of Glory!

So I command my heart and hands! Lift up the gates! Open wide the doors! Make room for the King of Glory! And I ask once again, Lord enter in!
