Weekly Prayer: Prayer from Psalm 91

Father,

May I be one who dwells in the secret place of the Most High. Teach me to remain near You and to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

May my mouth always say, "The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Deliver me from every snare of the enemy and from every hidden danger. Cover me with Your feathers, and let me find refuge beneath Your wings. Your faithfulness is my shield and my protection.

I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor the destruction that comes at noon. No matter what surrounds me, let my heart remain steadfast because You are with me.

Because I have made You my dwelling place, let no evil overtake me, and let no plague come near my home. Command Your angels concerning me, my family, and all that You have entrusted to me. Guard us in all our ways and keep our feet from stumbling.

Strengthen me to walk in the authority You have given through Christ. Help me to tread upon every work of the enemy without fear, knowing that You are my Defender and my Deliverer.

Because I love You, hold me securely in Your care. Because I know Your name, set me on high. When I call to You, answer me. Be with me in trouble. Rescue me and honor You through my life.

Satisfy me with a long life lived for Your glory. Let me see Your salvation again and again. May my life be a testimony that You are faithful, You are good, and You are my safe place.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.
