Weekly Prayer: A Prayer for The Gift of Wisdom and Joy

A prayer from Ecclesiastes Chapter 2

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the truth that wisdom excels folly just as light excels darkness. Thank You for revealing Your wisdom through Your Word and for guiding our paths with Your light.

Thank You that You desire us to enjoy the fruit of our labor and to receive with gratitude the blessings You place in our hands. We acknowledge that every good gift comes from You.

Thank You for giving wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who walk in ways that are pleasing in Your sight. You generously provide what we need to live faithfully before You.

Lord, help us hold tightly to Your wisdom as we journey through life and work out our faith. Guard our hearts from bitterness, cynicism, discouragement, and weariness. May Your wisdom shape our thoughts, words, and actions, and may Your light continue to lead us in the paths of righteousness.
