Weekly Prayer: PRAYER FROM NEHEMIAH 4:4–5 & 9

Hear, O our God, for we are despised.

See the scorn of those who rise against Your purposes and speak against the good work You have ordained. You see every accusation, every mocking word, and every attempt to discourage what You are building.

Lord, turn the reproach of the enemy back upon their own heads. Let every scheme formed against Your plans be overturned, and let those who oppose Your work fall into the counsel of their own devices.

Vindicate Your name, defend Your servants, and frustrate every voice that seeks to hinder what You have spoken. Do not overlook the pride and rebellion of those who knowingly resist Your purposes and provoke You through their opposition. 

Strengthen our hands for the work, as You did for Nehemiah and those rebuilding the wall. Keep us from distraction, intimidation, and fear. Establish the work of our hands, and let no opposition prevail against what You have decreed.

For what You have purposed, no enemy can overthrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
