Weekly Prayer: A Prayer from Haggai 2:4-9

Father,

Thank You that in times of discouragement and waiting, You command us to be strong. When the work before us feels small or unfinished, remind us that You have called us, and You are with us. Give us grace to continue faithfully in the good work You have called us to. Help us to remember Your promise: that Your Spirit remains among us, so we do not need to fear.

Strengthen us in the waiting. Though the delay may feel long to us, You declare that it is but a little while before You fulfill all that You have spoken. Give us eyes of faith to see that the things You are preparing will be greater than what has already been. Fill our hearts with hope as we trust in Your coming glory and Your promise of peace.

In Jesus’ name, amen
